Embroidery is a method used for embellishing garments using a needle and a thread. There are two methods for embroidery the first being hand embroidery which has a history that stems back as far as 3000 BC. Hand embroidery is where one has a threaded needle in hand and weaves it through the fabric in a pattern that creates their desired image.
Hand Embroidery, or surface embroidery as some call it also has many different styles and techniques that can be used to created the desired look. The other method of embroidery, the one which we provide is called machine embroidery.
Machine embroidery is very similar to hand embroidery, a needle and thread is also used to stitch a design into a garment or fabric, but without the manual hand-weaving. Machine embroidery uses embroidery machines that will typically have anywhere from 1-1 needles and can have multiple heads. Each needle is threaded with a color and allows each design to have up to 16 colors depending on the machine. Having multiple heads allows for multiple garments to be sewn at the same time.
